MW Ruperto S. Demonteverde Masonic Lodge 320 Brigada Eskwela

This was more than a donation. It was a promise.

There are moments when kindness speaks louder than words, and this was one of them.

At Lantad Elementary School, one of the country’s oldest public schools, established in 1913, the laughter and smiles of children filled its century old campus with renewed hope.

Led by Worshipful Master Eric Saratan, former Mayor of Talisay City, and with the special appearance of MW Franklin J. Demonteverde, PGM, the Brethren of MW Ruperto S. Demonteverde Masonic Lodge No. 320 brought more than assistance. They brought love, encouragement, and the assurance that these young dreamers are not forgotten.

This year, the Brethren distributed more than 280 hygiene kits, complete with personal care and cleaning essentials, to help promote cleanliness, health, and dignity among the pupils.

The Lodge also conducted a feeding program, providing the children with warm and nourishing meals. Beyond filling their stomachs, every meal carried a simple but powerful message: you are seen, you are cared for, and your future matters.

This meaningful activity continues the Lodge’s lasting commitment to Lantad Elementary School. Last year, the Lodge donated 22 laptops to support the children’s education. Today, all 22 laptops remain fully operational and are actively being used by the pupils. Their software and learning programs have also been updated, proving that this was never merely a one-day donation, but a continuing investment in their education and future.

The children also had the opportunity to meet Brethren from different professions, business leaders, doctors, lawyers, engineers, and many others, who shared their stories and showed them what their own futures could become. Sometimes, all it takes is meeting someone who once had a dream to help a child believe that their own dream is possible, too.

This was more than a donation.

It was a promise.

A promise that no child, no matter how remote the school, how difficult the journey, or how humble the beginning, should ever be left behind.

To the teachers who tirelessly shape young minds, the parents who quietly sacrifice for a better tomorrow, and the students who continue to dream despite every challenge: this is for you.

To the Brethren who made this meaningful undertaking possible, your light has traveled far beyond the walls of the Lodge. You have touched lives, awakened dreams, and planted seeds of hope that may one day transform an entire generation.

Because when Masons build, we build more than structures. We build confidence. We build opportunities. We build bridges of compassion toward a brighter future.

And perhaps the greatest thing we can ever build is a world where every child believes:

“My dreams matter, and I can become more.” 🎩
